I want it to sort of be like a "promise" ring. What's a nice, sophisticated ring for under $300? I'd like something celtic, claddagh/celtic knots, etc. But any suggestions would be good.
My cousin's wedding ring is stunning. It is made out if titanium & it looks like someone has taken a pipe & cut an piece off the end. It is not rounded or anything. Simple, sophisticated & truly amazing. He has gotten more compliments on that ring than you would think possible. I know it is plain & does not have a design, but I thought the titanium part may interest you.
Happy shopping!

I found a ring, its been a couple years since we broke up. I've moved on, engaged to another girl. The ring was found in a box. tucked away. I had a jeweller look at it and he said it was worth about $75 to $100 retail.
How do I sell it to get the most money out of it?
It's a celtic knot silver band.
You won't get retail for it.
You can put it on CraigsList or take it to a pawn shop, but expect to only get about $25 if that for it.

Okay, so I inherited a ring from the early 1900's from my deceased grandmother this year. Its 14k gold, and it has 6 tiny diamonds embedded in it, with celtic knots surrounding. Id like to know how much it was worth if I sold it.
Take it to a jeweler/gemologist. They are the only people that will be able to accurately estimate it's worth. The diamonds are going to be where most of the value is, so you need to have a gemologist to inspect the diamonds and certify their grade.
Any locally owned jewelry store would be able to recommend an appraiser.
Good Luck!

My fiance and I were looking at rings today. The one he likes has engraved details on it (celtic knots) and is white gold but REALLY expensive, like $800. He said he likes the white gold ones and he likes the ones with designs on them. We were looking at Kay Jewelers and I know the mark up is crazy on them at the retail jewelers. I have looked online and have not had a lot of luck. Anyone know if any good websites? Or places to buy this?
We just bought my fiance a ring at Kay and it was over $1,000. Their prices are crazy. Try Sam's Club, they have some decent rings and the prices aren't too crazy. And sometimes if you try little jewerly stores you can get something nice and unique pretty inexpensively.
White gold is never going to be super cheap though, just so you know. Tungsten, stainless steel, and titanium and all going to be cheapest in the $150-$400 range.
